I frequently think about intimacy and how it shapes what becomes tangible: both physically and in all that passes between us without words.

Things do not hold their brightness alone. Their light is altered by what sits beside them, what falls across them, and where we choose to stand in relation to them… In the dimness, brightness begins to feel less like something a body possesses and more like something that emerges in the space between.

At least now I know one thing:

distance is not the opposite of intimacy;
it is its shape.
